[When entering the festival, every visitor will receive a wristband, which they must wear at the festival throughout the weekend. A visitor who loses or tears the wristbandduring the weekend will have to purchase a new ticket with which they will receive a new wristband.]

Description of the Festival: 

FanAsia is a (pop)culture festival aimed at introducing Asian cultures. 

Our festival has been operating since 2011, when it covered only Japanese culture under the name Otakon. In 2012, we changed the name to Nipponfest and added a Korean section known as Hangukon. The festival performed under the combined name Nipponfest & Hangukon until autumn 2023, when we decided to rename the festival again to FanAsia. This change again brought with it the expansion of the program line of the festival to include other Asian countries. From 2024, our visitors can look forward to up to 3 main program sections, namely Japan, Korea and Asia. 

At our festival, visitors can traditionally look forward to various lectures, workshops, competitions (Cosplay, K-pop, ...) or performances with an Asian theme. Various stalls with Asian cosmetics, merch, food, and the work of local artists alternate regularly at the festival. Visitors can also try on traditional Japanese and Korean clothes and then take a photo in them for free in the photo booth.

For those who prefer quiet moments, there will be a cafe, tea room and various board games available. 

The Saturday of the festival will be traditionally finished with an after-party, which will be in the Japanese-Korean spirit, near the train station in our favorite place Dungeon Pub.
