A moment awaited by the whole city of Košice is finally here. The city is opening the most modern swimming complex in Slovakia – the National Olympic Center for Aquatic Sports Košice (NOCKE).

We invite you to an exceptional evening full of movement, music, lights, and unforgettable experiences. On Saturday, August 30 at 6:00 PM, we will kick off a grand opening with a program for everyone.

Take part in a 24-hour swimming challenge in the pool, aiming to set a record in the Slovak Book of Records.

• Presentation by UNOSTAR DANCE STUDIO
• DJ show to keep you dancing all night
• Synchronized swimming performance
• Surprises and gifts from the City of Košice and event partners
• 24-hour free entry to the fitness center and a symbolic fee to the new wellness center

PROGRAM
August 30, 2025

• 6:00 PM – Official opening & cultural program
• 7:00 PM – Start of the 24-hour swimming challenge with an attempt to set a record for the most meters swum in the pool

August 31, 2025

• 7:15 PM – Finish of the measured swimming and announcement of the new Slovak record
• Presentation of a certificate and medals by the Slovak Record Commissioner

The organizer reserves the right to change the program and schedule.

Participation Rules for the 24-hour Swimming Challenge

Take this opportunity to be among the first swimmers to enjoy the new pool for free. To ensure smooth organization, please register in advance for a specific time slot. This will secure your place and save you from unnecessary waiting. Registration will also be possible on-site, depending on available spaces after online registrations.

First slots are available from 7:30 PM on Saturday, and the last slot is at 7:00 PM on Sunday.

Please bring pool-appropriate footwear (clean flip-flops), swimming gear, and a good mood.

Before entering the water:
Upon arrival, register in the lobby by scanning the QR code you received by email after registration. Then collect your wristband, which will grant you access to the changing rooms and lockers.

Unregistered participants interested in swimming may also register on site; however, priority will be given to those who registered electronically, and a suitable time slot cannot be guaranteed.

After passing through the showers, our organizing team will welcome you at the pool and help you agree on your expected swimming distance. Based on this, you will be assigned a swimming lane.

The 50m main pool is available only for swimmers able to swim at least 50m:

• 8 lanes for measured swimming (official counting of meters)
• 2 lanes for warm-up and free swimming (meters not counted)
• Lanes will be adjusted according to attendance

The smaller pool will be available for free play for families with children and less experienced swimmers (meters not counted).

After swimming:

• All participants will receive a certificate of participation before leaving
• Official personnel will record the swimming distances
• The Slovak Record Commissioner will oversee the record attempt

Additional important information:

• Children under 16 must be accompanied by a legal guardian
• Medical and rescue services will be provided by the pool operator
• By registering, each participant confirms they are aware of their health condition and participate at their own risk
• The pool’s operating rules must be followed at all times
